Thanks for the replys.

I have tried backing out and starting again. Actually, I have been playing on this level for a number of days now. Always the same two routes. I gave up.

I went back to the runs under "Aerobics" and do a basic run there.

Bummer - It seems like another good idea that they (Wii) did not fully develop. Maybe next version...

I too ran and ran and ran trying to unlock more cats at the last level in the Training Plus but never got more than the two cats. It's also annoying that the first cat slows way down when the second cat goes by so that it is quite difficult to even continue to follow the first cat once you have the second cat unlocked. I wonder if there is a glitch (or if you have to run for more times than I have the patience for) because the game certainly implies there are more cats to follow. Unless there are more cats, the runs in Wii Fit plus end up being more limiting than in the Wii Fit. That's why I mostly cycle now.

Someone said that they had read about a person exploring the boat while jogging and wondered if that meant there was a free run but I know one of the jogs I did when I first started playing Training Plus took me onto the boat so I don't think they were referring to a free run. I agree with the person who pointed out that free running wouldn't work since you wouldn't be able to steer. That'll be for Wii Fit 3 or 4. :)

Actually, you could steer using the wiimote just like you do when cycling.

ALSO, thanks for your input. Like you I thought that maybe I just need a higher score or something.

Glad I am not the only one.

I actually hope to proven wrong on this. I hope someone comes along some day and says, "You just have to get a score of .... in order to unlock more paths" because then I'll have the motivation to go back to jogging. It's hard to commit myself to running the same path over and over again and counting the same flags, moles, and dogs every time for the memory quiz not knowing if I am accomplishing anything more than burning calories!

Laurie,

Boy, I am right with you on that "pipe dream". I tried the 30 minute run (which is what I want) but it is very boring in the game and if I switch to the TV mode I don't seem to keep a good pace.

I do the island cycling 30 mins each several times a day but would also like the value of an alternate form of aerobics.

Like you, I still feel like if I get a high enough score, or some such thing, then I will have access to more routes.

In the mean time, I went back to the Aerobics area in Wii Fit and have begun doing the basic runs there. At least back there there are a variety of paths and pets to follow.

Let me know if you discover the secret...

Caryl

I wish there was a way to run free too, but think about it, there would be a way to run - in the cycle, using the remote control, but the running is being used to measure their steps.
