Hi, I do jogging plus because I love going around the island and it's a good way to a) get closer to 30 minutes a day and b) burn fat. However, I often end up achieving a burn rate of 45% or less. Can anyone recommend a way to up my burn rate so I am not constantly needing to rely on my spotting skills?

Hrm, are you holding the remote or putting it in your pocket? I find that it doesn't register as well in my pocket. I hold a remote in each hand to balance the weight.

Hi Bezerkoid

When I received the Wii and started the jogging, I had the same problem. Today, in my morning work out, I did 40 minutes (20 each time). I always old the remote and I put the exercise runnig and put the channel on the news on. I made a good score.

Hope its a help

Thanks guys, I tried what you recommended and my burn rate is up 20%, which has chuffed me.

Do you get higher difficulties other than "Long" or is that all I can get?

I have a short run burn rate of 234%. :D Have a look at my post here where I explain the method:

My burn rate's been high (200+%) since I realized that the most convenient place to put the Wiimote when jogging is in my sports bra.

Results may vary with cup size, though. XD

ditto, if you wear a bra, it's the best place to put the wimote. My shorts had no pockets, and I didn't feel like holding the thing anymore.
I've had a high jogging average from the beginning. It all depends on keeping at the same pace. If I vary my pace because the beat of the music I'm listening to has sped up or slowed down, my end burn rate will drop. I quit paying attention to it.

seems like an unfair advantage to me :D My wife wouldn't like to see wearing a bra just to get ahead. She already thinks I am going nuts on this thing :D
