Me and my boyfriend bought ourselevs the Wii fit Plus game + balance board about a week ago now and we've been very happy with it so far. But... today, 10 minutes ago actually, my boyfriend went on it and did his body test, as we both do every day, and there was an 11,6 kg change in his weight and his BMI went from 26 to 32... all this overnight?! How is that possible. We figured there was something wrong with the balance board and we did a balance board check up on the settings menu, which came out fine. No problems with the board at all?
So how on earth is this possible. My own BMI has been going up and down quite alot aswell but not quite as much as his did today and my graph is slowly moving downwards anyway so I thought it wasnt a problem. Uptil now my boyfriends graph has been graduately decreasing constantly since we started, no problems at all... then boom, 11,6kgs overnight?
Is our board broken? Or perhaps its got something to do with our carpeting? Anyone else had the same problem?
Are you using the extra extension feet that came with the board for use on carpet? If the feet sink into the carpet so that the bottom of the board is touching it then it will throw the weight off. It is much better used on a hard surface so it stays level. It will also act up some times if the batteries are getting low.

If you are using it on carpet it will change if you put it in even a miniscule different spot. Mine actually goes down usually too, so I don't worry about it, as it helps keep me going. I actually weigh myself on my bathroom scale which is more accurate and the board fluctuates from that between 3 and 5 pounds. But when at someones suggestion I tried the extension feet it did increase markedly, I now use them all the time and feel it's a more accurate reading.
