My brother was here 1,5 week ago, and we registred a new Mii for him outside the game (before starting Wii Fit Plus). Then we registret that Mii in Fit Plus and he now was with me and my cat on my Plaza. Everytime we switched from me to him we got the message that he couldn't earn cash. He ended up on a few high score lists.
As I now have been sick with the flu since he was here, today was the first time I Wii'ed since then. He's still on my Plaza, but not in any high score lists!!
What happened? What did we do wrong? He weighed in, did the balance test and everything. I thought I'd have new goals now, to get him out of the high score lists, but no...

I can get this message only when I chose a "guest Mii". You are sure that you switch to the right Mii? The short switch between persons in the games let you the chance to select the wrong Mii. It's better going back to the plaza and changed there.

Maybe that's the meaning of "couldn't earn cash", but switching off the power-line without closing the Wii games and going back to the main menu can do this effect.

I think the scores and times and other data are temporary only saved in the "work memory" of the Wii and will moved only from time to time into the "flash memory" (that will not need power on to hold the data). In every chase it will saved by going to the main menu or by switching off the console with the button on the console or the remote. Switching direct off the power-line without shut off the console can, but didn't in nearly all chases, confuse the system.

I am not sure I understand what you mean but I know 2 things: Every time we switched to his Mii it was named Jonas, just as him. And I didn't quit the game or the Wii the wrong way (pulling out the power line), but just as I usually do (navigating back to the Wii menu and then turn it off). To have to go back to the Plaza every time we switched games would have taken away a lot of time, so no thanks. It takes time as it is, could have been done much easier I think.

So wrong Mii felt out of possible errors.

And the second error chance also gone.

Maybe it fails only direct after a new registration. Came after the first switch between then Miis a message to go off and on the board? Sometime (seldom) we did in game switch (my wife, daughter and grandson) and it has make no problems.

I had the same problem. I got high scores and used loads of calories but couldnt do anything else. I realsied i had to be selected.
The switch button allows you to change the user for a quick game. In order to allow calories and fitcash you need to go to the plaza screen and select the player. The one where you can do the body test - and go into training option. This will allow the calories and cash.

So you mean that if somebody else plays with me, and we do every other game, we have to go out to the Plaza every time to switch users? That takes too long! The funny thing is that we switched back to me the same way, and I collected cash and calories... Strange. Better to play alone
Just realized something... when we had imported my brother's Mii into my Plaza, we chose my Mii and I showed him a game. THEN we switched to my brother's via Change. I think that we should have gone out to the Plaza that first time and chosen him "for real" and then been able to switch via Change. Does that make sense? Excuse my bad English... I am Swedish.

Yes, the Wii console must create a datafile for the new Mii at the first entry into a game. When you than switching to your Mii at least the high scores for both will stay.
