Rumours of a Wii price cut have been doing the rounds for the last couple of months, and now it looks like it is official.

After scans of adverts from Best Buy and Toys-R-Us showing a $199 price-tag, now Nintendojo are reporting that Nintendo has announced the price cut to its retail partners during a conference call.

The price cut will apparently come in on the 27th September in the US. No word on the rest of the world.
