I'm beginning to feel I have weak girly arms. I know that doing exercises won't suddenly make me go Popeye, but I'd like to be a bit stronger in the arms. What exercises have you found that build on your arms? So far, I'm playing the chicken game, the tightrope game and the tricep stretch. I'm a little afraid to try the pressups, I don't think I'm strong enough for that yet!!! Does anyone have any other suggestions for Wii Fit upper arm exercises?

I do the tricep stretches too. The trainer suggests you work up to a 500ml water bottle, I have some wrist weights so I used those this morning. I hope to tone up my upper arms in time.

Have you tried the parallel stretch ? it's good for abs but also requires some upper body strength in the arms.

I tend to have much more lower body strength as I do a lot of walking, my arms and shoulders aren't very strong.

The rythym boxing may be of some help ?

I've heard wrist weights are bad for your joints? :/

I find that the parallel stretch mainly works my abs and back, and I feel very little in my arms, I think because my arm bones are supporting me, not my arm muscles, if that makes sense? It could just be that my abs are very weak, so I feel them more than my arms? Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

I hadn't really thought of the boxing as a muscle building exercise, more as a cardio fat burning exercise, but it makes sense. thanks!

With pressups, start by doing them while bending from the knees, don't try going the whole hog. That way you are lifting a lot less, and you don't need to worry about keeping your legs stiff.

The trice extensions are what I do for arm strength, I started off with just the Wii remote and then went to a bottle of water. Then a 2lb. weight, 5lb. weight, and now I am at a 10lb. weight and I do 20 reps per arm and I can definately feel it working the muscles. Push-Ups are hard to do for me, because I have two torn rotator cuffs but they also work wonders if you can handle them.

I don't think the wii fit offers adequate arm exercises. I modify the push-up / side plank, but am also working out separately with weights. To me, push-ups are harder with the wii since your upper body is elevated, so I'm trying to build up strength to be able to fully complete that exercise. It should be amazing once I do.
