In response to rumors that rumors that a "Wii HD" is is due in 2011 Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo US, has said:

The quote appears in a long but interesting interview in Venturebeat.

While it might be rumor and speculation, 2011 still sounds like a likely timescale for the introduction of a Wii successor. I would be surprised if they haven't updated it before the end of 2012.
