Wii to get new version of BBC iPlayer

GameSpot UK are reporting are reporting that the BBC are to release a new version of the iPlayer video player which will feature more Wii friendly controls, larger buttons and a simpler interface.

Sadly the video quality is not going to improve just yet, due to the limits of the Flash version the Wii currently runs.

However it looks like the next Wii update may deliver an updated version of flash

I hope this is the case, the Wii could be a great web-browsing console, but the inability to watch most video is frustrating.
