These games are scored strictly on how well you execute a fixed or limited number of items. The number of items could be fixed, as in the tape-following games, or limited, as in Lotus Focus, where you are scored on how many seconds you managed to sit still, up to a maximum of 180. In either case, the rate of completion is either fixed or not scored.

Because the scoring does not depend on how fast you execute the fixed number of items (thus leaving more time remaining to be scored) nor on how fast you execute an unlimited number of items (thus completing more and more items), you can predict a maximum possible score for the game. As you can see, many of them are also tape-following games. Driving Range is here because you have a maximum rated score for each of a fixed number of balls. Lotus Focus is here because it is played over a fixed maximum number of seconds, and your score is strictly the number of seconds before you twitch or reach the maximum.
