Tape-following games involve performing some sort of action in a pattern dictated by a moving tape. The archetypical tape-following games in Wii Fit/Plus are Basic Step and Advanced Step where you will see an actual tape. However, the three Rhythm games also feature a series of instructions played out one after another, as in Rhythm Kung-Fu where the moves and timing for each sequence are shown by the Miis who are training with you. It is this idea of a series of instructions that distinguishes Tape-following games.
