Deep Breathing takes 2 minutes.

Levels

There is only one level of Deep Breathing.

How to do it

At all times, follow the movements of your trainer.

Initial position

  • Stand on the Wii Balance Board with your feet apart and your arms at your side.

Set-up

  • Bring your hands to your abdomen.
  • Breath in and out.

The position

  • Breathe in and out, following the movements of the blue circle on the screen: breathe in as the circle decreases, breathe out as it increases.
  • Observe the red dot in the yellow circle on the screen: keep this dot in the centre.

Unwinding

  • When the time is up, let your arms fall back gently to your sides.

Repetitions

  • There is only one repetition of Deep Breathing.

Scoring

Your score is based on good you are at keeping the red dot in the centre without moving.

Problems

  • If you have problems keeping yourself centred, you need to work on your posture:
    • Make certain that your shoulders are pulled back, not uncomfortably so, but so that you can feel that they are back.
    • Stretch your neck upwards slightly: you should think of there being a cord on the top of your head that is pulling you upwards, much in the manner that a puppet is pulled upwards by a string.
  • Keep your breathing steady. If you find yourself breathing opposite the blue circle, that is out when it is decreasing and vice versa, don't worry about it. Keeping your breath steady and deep is more important than following the circle's timing.
