My bf got my Wii Fit for Christmas and I just did a half hr (7 min of Wii logged time) and I'm sure outta shape! My balance is wayy off which makes it hard for me to get excited about this now. Any tips for me to keep me on that board!! Literally!!
My tip, try out lots of the games and then stick with the ones you most enjoy. When you find you are getting better at things, start trying out some of the other games and exercises.
Don't feel you have to start out doing all the "proper" exercises in the muscle section. Stick to the fun games, and just practise.
Play the games with family or friends if you can, there's nothing like a bit of mutual support and competition to keep you going. Since your boyfriend got it for you, get him involved
Keep practising and you will improve. A lot of people think that balance is something you either have or don't have, but actually it's something that you can learn and get better at by doing, all the little muscles in your legs get stronger, and they are the ones that help you balance, but which we don't use much in normal life.
It's just like anything else in life, the more you practise the better you get. When I started I could hardly do any of the yoga poses, but after a few weeks I had mastered many of them. If you give up before you've started then you'll never improve.
Also, don't take the Wii Fit's fitness test too seriously. My Wii Fit age jumps around all over the place.
