There is lots of interesting stuff that can be done with the Bird's Eye Bulls-Eye game. It appears that the Wii Fit Plus programming team wimped out and abandoned the game, but there is still lots of exercise and mental challenge available.
By doing the Expert course, and running up all the available seconds possible, I can get around 400 seconds of cruise around time, bypassing the blimp and just going until running out of time. The score will give total yardage, which is a good exercise challenge.
Flying through tunnels and under bridges and arches is fun, and good exercise. Unfortunately Nintendo left the main tunnels blocked. Thanks a lot, folks.
By using leg and hip action, flight can be achieved without so much arm and shoulder stress. This is more like a swimming or cross country skiing action.
So far there don't seem to be any cheats, tricks or easter eggs in the game. The target towers have some colored structures in the framework, but there doesn't seem to be any reason for their existence. There are many screens blocking the tunnels, and no way apparent to squeeze past.
Some of the bridges can be flown under, but the two at the castle seem too low to squeeze through. None of the openings in the different structures have any access.
My best yardage so far is just over 8100 yards. Could 10000 yards be possible?

Ok, found the 'misty island', set out with 300 sec. left at the lighthouse. As I approached closer, at about 40 sec. remaining, there seemed to be a barrier to further progress. Just kept bobbing up and down until time ran out. The island was closer, but apparently unapproachable. There looked to be a lighthouse on the nearest point.
I speculate that this is a programming glitch. Could be the program just bends you around toward the startoff point,[but I couldn't see the volcano], or just a programming artifact which is unaccessible. There might be a limit of flight area. Or could it be a Moibus effect in cyberspace, resulting in a space/time warp? Hmm....didn't meet a mirror image mii in a chicken suit...
Update 5/14.. have tried several approaches to the Mysterious Island. There seems to be a Barrier Zone. Could it be Area 51..or an entrance to the secret chambers under Wright-Patterson Air Force Base?
There seem to be several tall structures on the island, no mountain, so it's not a Wuhu Island in another cyberspace dimension..
Could there be an approach route from a different angle? Probably not,, there just seems to be an 'energy force field' around the island preventing any further travel..trapped! trapped, do you hear me!? Like chickens in an cage! Oh the humanity!
There was a young lady named Bright, Who could travel much faster than light. She set out one day, In a relative way, And came back the previous night.

It's probably not a glitch. Instead, they have limits - deliberate, purposeful limits - on where you can fly. You've seen some of them - you cannot fly into some of the tunnels etc. - and here is another. You cannot fly beyond this line (obvious candidates are a circle X distance from the centre of the island or a square or rectangle this big), and the misty island is outside that line. All games do this in one way or another, it is often only in "wide open world" environments that you actually detect the location of the invisible wall. In the typical first-person shooter, you will be hemmed in by walls, cliffs, and so on, so you will never see the edge-of-the-world effect. The WiiFitPlus island isn't like that, but only the chicken game allows you to visit the invisible wall.
My 0,02€, for what it's worth (almost 3 cents US at the moment).
